The club is a group of veterans from many different backgrounds, with many different personalities, beliefs and ideas.

With all these differences, there are a few things that we all have in common.  All members are honorably discharged or are currently serving. All have taken the same oath to protect the Constitution of the United States against all enemies both foreign and domestic. This oath was taken not for the term of their service, but for life.

There are members who served in World War II that landed in Normandy and fought during the entire war. Some entered Japan, Italy or Africa and fought on the Pacific Islands where so many lives were lost.

Members have fought in every war since.  They fought in Korea, Vietnam, Iran and Afghanistan.

Members have been soldiers who carried a rifle and fought on the ground, some fought from the seas, some served in the skies and some even fought in the tunnels of Vietnam where the casualties were over 33 percent. Cold War warriors kept the enemies that would attack the free world at bay with a readiness that was unbeatable.

Some wounds can be seen, while others are hidden from view. Some memories come out of nowhere and some in dreams. Of course, the veterans have some good memories of friends and times.

The number one thing that all the Veterans have in common is a love of country and the pride to have served no matter what position that may be.

If you are an honorably discharged US veteran of any era or on active or reserve duty now, we want you to join us.  We meet the second Thursday of the month from September to June with a happy hour every month.  We meet at 851 Celebration Avenue at 1800 hrs. for refreshments before the meeting that starts at 1830 hrs.  For further information, call, 321-276-2380 or email celverterns@aol.com.
